Customers travel from all over to get their hands on the famous Bologna Sandwhich. It’s served crisp, and hot, thick as can be, with Monterey Jack cheese melted to perfection. Toppings are simple: raw onions for bite and crunch, and cool-to-the-touch pickles. It’s the unassuming pickles that are the real secret which goes well with the bologna. Everything is sandwiched between soft hamburger buns. You will definitely want to visit G&R and see what everyone is talking about!

Today, 58 years later, G&R still bears the hallmarks of a neighborhood sports bar, with the requisite beer paraphernalia and local team trophies along walls. Besides the signature Bologna sandwich, our customers can enjoy many other dishes including our 12-inch pizzas, salads, cheese plates, and of course our world-famous pies. We also have a full-service sports bar with some ice-cold beers on tap

The G&R building was built in the early 1900″s. Then, in 1962, G&R Tavern was established. 1985 brought new ownership — Joy and Bernie Lewis, who frequented G&R while growing up. When they took over, the trio decided to steer the tavern into more of a family restaurant, the type of place where peanut butter-chocolate cream pies are made each morning. Their menu was kept simple, from the famous Bologna sandwich to pizza, salads, and fried seafood baskets.
